Leigh Besson, Chief Appraiser, is an native of Rhode Island and holds a BS
from the Universlty of Rhode Island. He was the first appraiser to pass the RI
Appraiser Certification requirement in 1996. He holds Certification Number
269. Leigh began appraising RI real estate in 1990, prior to RI passing the
Certification Law in 1995.
